Red Sox US-Japan Youth Baseball Exchange Takes Place at Fenway Park
On August 1st, Consul General Tsutomu Himeno attended the 6th Japan-U.S. youth baseball exchange event at Fenway Park hosted by Funai Electric and the Red Sox Foundation. He threw the ceremonial first pitch.
In the exchange program, 12 Japanese boys and 2 trainers belonging to youth baseball teams in Kyoto and Chiba visited Boston. They enjoyed cultural exchange activities and a friendly match against local youth baseball team. They also attended the welcome ceremony at Fenway Park.
